This kind of expansion joints for turbine exhaust, it is the most used connection in large plants like power stations. Its main purpose it is to compensate the different thermal expansions between the turbine and condenser. This joint is made of neoprene with multiple inner fabric reinforcements, it is composed of a flat central body with a high and constant thickness and of two lateral expansions (bulbs), allowing the fixing of metallic parts that need to connect the clamps.

The typical operating characteristics are:

• Constant work temperature of 60°C, with peaks up to120°C for limited periods
• Pressure up to 1 barg
• Depression until a vacuum condition
• Axial movement in compression up to 30 mm
• Lateral movement up to 16 mm
