Gimbal angular expansion joints

They are manufactured by a single bellows that allow the angular rotation in every plane, since they are made up with articulation attached at the ends of the expansion joint and bound together by pins on a gimbal ring.

They resist pressure thrust caused by internal pressure.

For a proper use they must be installed with three expansion joints or in pairs composed of two gimbal angular expansion joints and a hinged one.

It is possible to compensate remarkable expansions with small thrust on fixing points, depending on the installation’s interaction between the joints.

Moreover, they can also be manufactured with steel bellows or special alloys, according to their use, for example AISI 316Ti, AISI 310, HASTELLOY, INCONEL, AVESTA 904L, MONEL 400, INCOLOY, and with the ends in special materials like CORTEN, A335 P11, A333 Gr.6 and others upon request.
